Our client, a manufacturing business located in East Orange, NJ, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee and contribute to its production operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company undergoing transformation with new equipment, processes, and room for growth!

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a Production Manager or similar role, a high school diploma (Bachelor's degree desired but not required), be detail-oriented, have organizational and leadership abilities, communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated with a results-driven approach, and possess problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that manufacturing remains smooth and efficient by monitoring employees, organizing workflows, and helping on the floor as needed.
* Optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs.
* Oversee a production team of 5 or 6 people.
* Ensure safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
* Create, implement, and oversee scorecard production metrics for all workers.
* Count and prepare materials for shipment.
* Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our client offers benefits such as bonus opportunities, 401k plan, and PTO.
