Our client, a coal and gas power plant located in Cochise, Arizona, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their Process Control department.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, substantial knowledge of boiler combustion, steam and gas turbine performance, and a strong background in IT systems. They should also possess experience in programming and networking, with Visual Basic and SQL skills being preferred.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
* 5+ years of experience with a coal and gas power plant
* Strong background in IT systems focusing on Microsoft operating systems
* Working knowledge of Visual Basic and SQL
* In-depth knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems, SCADA systems, HMI, and plant historians
* Experience with coal-powered and gas-fired generating stations
* Strong multidisciplinary troubleshooting abilities
* Functional knowledge of classic control theory and general knowledge of advanced control philosophies
* Strong networking skills focusing on the Ethernet model that is used to support control systems communications and to design and deploy process control network equipment

Our client is offering a salary range of $77,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience.

The benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision, as well as a pension and 401k with company match, and an annual bonus opportunity. Our client also offers relocation assistance, including a package that pays for the move, plus $6,000 max towards other costs. The work schedule is either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, with a rotating 9-hour shift and every other Friday off.
