Our client, a leading design firm, is looking for a Director to lead their Higher Education Design Studio in Louisville, Kentucky. As an employee-owned firm, our client fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is a Higher Education thought leader with a deep knowledge of best practices in Higher Education Architecture, Sustainability, Engineering, and Construction. The Director will lead and inspire a team of designers and engineers to deliver exceptional design experiences and build lasting client relationships through trust and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

* 10+ years of professional experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry
* Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related professional degree from an accredited institution preferable. Demonstrated professional work experience may be substituted to satisfy formal education requirements
* Demonstrated success both in the management of direct reporting relationships and the management of multiple projects
* A demonstrated history of effectively working in a collaborative team environment with architects and other engineering disciplines
* Must be a self-starter, focused, well organized, and team-oriented
* LEED accredited professional, or the ability to become LEED accredited within 6 months
* Fully conversant with MS Office
* Detailed knowledge of the Higher Education marketplace
* Thorough knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education and design standards and sustainability expectations for the Higher Education market

Salary range and benefits:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending and health savings accounts, life insurance, and short and long-term disability.
