Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a motivated and collaborative Transportation Engineer 2 to support the agency’s mission by ensuring highway construction projects are designed and built in compliance with standard specifications, contract specifications and contract plans. As part of the Olympic Region Materials/General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Office, the work of the Transportation Engineer 2 improves the safety, quality, and capacity of the State’s transportation system. This position fulfills the Department’s commitment to Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for construction material testing review through the Quality Assurance Program (QAP). They will support the Regional Independent Assurant Inspector (IAI) and schedule certification events and examinations for material testers in the Olympic Region. This position also supports the Aggregate Source Approval (ASA) Program by obtaining samples for assessment.
