Our client, a General Contractor (GC) company, is seeking a full-time Project Estimator to join their team. Our client specializes in approaching each project individually and ensuring the best experience for their customers, with transparency, excellence, and integrity at the core of their work.

The Project Estimator will be responsible for developing cost estimates, development, and construction schedules ranging from rough-order-of-magnitude level to detailed working cost estimates, guiding owner selections, and presenting the results in a format suitable for use by the client and design team. Other essential functions include participating in project economic evaluations, offering value engineering ideas, working on several bids simultaneously, and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.  The ideal Project Estimator candidate should have excellent people and communication skills and be able to think outside the box for creative problem-solving.

Qualifications for the Project Estimator include:

* Preferred Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Bachelor's in Engineering and/or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Texas
* Minimum 5 years of experience as an estimator in a general contracting company
* Relevant training and/or certification in project cost estimating
* Proficient in Excel and experience with database cost estimating software (On Screen Takeoff and Quickbid)
* Ability to develop leads and present bid opportunities to management
* Strong mathematical skills, grounded in algebra, geometry, and simple math
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Develop relationships with subcontractors and analyze their bids to optimize costs
* Proven experience with organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving in time-sensitive situations

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

The salary range for this position is commensurate with with experience, up to $100,000 per year with a bonus potential based on company performance. The benefits package includes a 401K and health insurance.
