This is a job description for a Sales Engineer role in the Machine Tool industry with a focus on Spare Parts and Services. The key responsibilities of the job involve generating business relationships with customer spares departments, meeting sales targets, and managing the entire process from customer orders to delivery.
The job requires the ability to interact with sales and service teams, vendors, and customers, and to work with global teams through weekly meetings and daily calls to execute spare parts orders. The Sales Engineer must also be able to read CAD/engineering drawings and interpret the function of parts and machinery communicated from spare parts perspectives.
Additionally, the job involves managing inventory, preparing and maintaining quality control documentation, answering customer questions or problems, and participating in customer meetings along with engineering to understand spare scrubbing methodology & formats for automotive customers. Travel to customer plants will also be required.
The job requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1-5 years of experience in the Machine Tool industry with SPM manufacturing knowledge and Industrial Automation sector expertise. The candidate should also have E-Plan basic knowledge, hands-on experience with MS office with Visio, and knowledge of Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, PLC and HMI software. The candidate must be a USC, Green Card holder, or TN Visa holder.
