We are immediately hiring a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join a well-established valve manufacturer with over a century of experience in the industry. This position is located in Long Island City, NY, and offers a great opportunity to work with a dedicated team to create high-quality products.
 

The ideal CNC Machinist/Programmer candidate for this position is a detail-oriented and dedicated individual who has at least 5 years of experience in programming lathes and milling machines. They should be able to work effectively with others to ensure that products are programmed correctly and be able to continually improve and optimize programs. Additionally, they should have experience with determining machine control settings and be familiar with safety protocols.
 

Qualifications for the CNC Machinist/Programmer position include:

-Minimum 5 years programming lathe experience
-Minimum 5 years programming milling experience
-Strong knowledge of Lathe G Code and Fanuc Controller (Okuma OSP a plus)
-Strong knowledge of Milling G Code and Fanuc Controller (Mazatrol a plus)
-Shop floor programming
-Mastercam a plus
-Ability to determine machine control settings (offsets) to regulate positioning, speeds and feeds
-Experience in assisting in the design and build of new fixtures
-Familiarity with safety protocols

The pay range for this position is between $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
