Department Summary

Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) is a vibrant department, which comprises five units, and approximately 270 employees: Facilities Services, Utilities & Energy, Campus Planning, Office of Sustainability, and Design & Construction. Facilities Services (FS) is responsible for the management of human, financial and material resources, the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures related to the operation, maintenance, repair and minor renovation of university buildings, grounds and infrastructure systems. These services provide the University of Oregon community with a safe, efficient, reliable, functional and aesthetically pleasing learning environment in support of the University’s mission and vision.

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide journey level electrical trade construction and maintenance expertise and support in a team setting.

The incumbent will perform maintenance and repair of existing building wiring systems and replacement of component parts, including: lighting systems and devices, branch circuit and feeder over current and short circuit protective devices etc. They will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of electronic equipment which includes commercial equipment and special purpose equipment requiring design work and special maintenance procedures. The incumbent will also maintain, repair, and replace component parts of campus exterior lighting systems and control devices, both pole- and building-mounted.

Minimum Requirements

Possession of one of the following Oregon Electrician's Licenses appropriate to the work to be performed:
General Supervising Electrician License
General Journeyman Electrician License
Limited Journey Manufacturing Plant License
Limited Supervising Manufacturing Plant License
