Position Summary
The Engineer will provide engineering support as needed, including but not limited to project lead responsibilities while creating drawing packages, equipment specifications, site walkdown and/or startup support, training of junior design and drafting personnel, and general tasks requiring a subject matter expert. 
 
Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and approve engineering and design deliverables.
• Design of systems, including oil & gas production facilities, gas processing plants, compressor stations, meter stations and other related facilities.
• Review and interpret project requirements and provide recommendations for the selection of equipment, materials, and systems.
• Specifications for the procurement of equipment and components.
• Review and provide guidance for P&IDs.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
• Interact with all engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, major equipment suppliers, and clients.
• Develop scopes of work and prepare detail design milestones, staffing schedules, and engineering man hour estimates.
• Provide prompt notification to supervision and project management for issues that impact scope, budget, and schedule

• Work directly with the client representative to ask and answer questions related to the design.

 
Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required.
• Texas P.E. required.
• Minimum of one (1) year Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Proficiency with applicable codes and standards including NEMA, API, ANSI, etc.
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Interpersonal communication skills to interface with all affected teams, personnel, clients, and vendors
• Able to work in a self-directed work group
• Able to independently manage time and task priorities.
• Valid driver’s license
