Job Description:
Position Summary
The Engineer will provide engineering support as needed, including but not limited to project lead responsibilities while creating drawing packages, equipment specifications, site walkdown and/or startup support, training of junior design and drafting personnel, and general tasks requiring a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities
Develop, review, and approve engineering and design deliverables.
Design of systems, including oil & gas production facilities, gas processing plants, compressor stations, meter stations and other related facilities.
Review and interpret project requirements and provide recommendations for the selection of equipment, materials, and systems.
Specifications for the procurement of equipment and components.
Review and provide guidance for P&IDs.
Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
Interact with all engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, major equipment suppliers, and clients.
Develop scopes of work and prepare detail design milestones, staffing schedules, and engineering man hour estimates.
Provide prompt notification to supervision and project management for issues that impact scope, budget, and schedule
Work directly with the client representative to ask and answer questions related to the design.
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering required.
Texas P.E. required.
Minimum of one (1) year Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry
Proficiency with applicable codes and standards including NEMA, API, ANSI, etc.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD preferred.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Interpersonal communication skills to interface with all affected teams, personnel, clients, and vendors
Able to work in a self-directed work group
Able to independently manage time and task priorities.
Valid driver’s license
