Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support one of our three production lines by developing and implementing the plans of the production process by evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, creating and editing programs, and determining and evaluating the rate of production and cost of products for sewing operations. This opportunity is specifically for our Python line, a sewing production line with diverse capabilities, that includes automated pattern and cutting processes.  You will also have responsibility for managing manufacturing, fixturing, and tooling prints, and programming data for cut tables and pattern machines.
 
Schedule / Pay / Work Environment
  • Flexible schedule and training
  • Standard: Monday - Friday
    • 8:00am to 5:00pm, may occasionally have additional hours based on workload and customer deadlines
  • Starting range is $80,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience
  • Physical Aptitude
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
    • Agility for frequent bending and reaching.
    • Strength to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
    • Visual acuity with the ability to differentiate colors.
    • Strong degree of hand-eye coordination.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Move models, prints, work instructions and other product documentation in the document control software.
  • Communicate to customers directly and indirectly (through customer service, sales, and management) quotes and other documents for process validation.
  • Produce budgets and ROI for capital improvements.
  • Create programs for cut tables and pattern machines.
  • Implement continuous improvements on shop floor.
  • Utilization of the latest technology for production and existing technology to its fullest capabilities.
  • Meet personal and equipment safety and health regulations.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in, or ability to learn, Epicor, CAD, PDM, MS Office, and other programming software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and blueprint reading and computer skills.
  • Ability to train others on processes.
  • Desire and ability to support automation.
