This role is to support sustainment activities including advanced manufacturing/repair technologies. This position will support USAF sustainment activities by performing quality control and inspection activities in a low volume, high mix advanced manufacturing environment. The position will be responsible for programming and operating a shop floor Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and utilizing various precision measurement equipment items to dimensionally inspect parts per engineering drawings. The position will also work directly with design and manufacturing staff in support of product development activities and execution of the quality program.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years experience with inspection and quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 8 years experience inspecting machined metal parts for conformance to drawings/specification.
- Minimum 5 years experience operating a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) using PC-DMIS.
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Certificated as an AS13001 designated product release verifier.
- Experience reading and interpreting 3D models, technical drawings, and computer generated reports.
- Experience producing inspection reports based on various methods of inspection, and calibrating various inspection tools.
- US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Familiar with maintaining quality standards/system.
- Experience with external audits for AS9100 or ISO9001.
- Understanding of and experience with performing Gage R&R to identify measurement variation.
- Familiar with various manufacturing processes such as casting, CNC machining, forging, heat treat and additive manufacturing for metals and/or plastics.
- Demonstrated experience with lab environments and adherence to lab policies and procedures.
- Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective verbal communication skills with team members at all levels.
- Ability to relate to and motivate work associates in the spirit of collaboration, relative to correcting mistakes and preventing them in the future.
- Self motivated & organized with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Effective organizational skills.


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
