Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an Assistant State Maintenance Engineer to assist the Director of Maintenance Operations in the strategic leadership of the Highway Maintenance Program. In this role you will assist the Director in developing and implementing statewide policies, as well as overseeing the delivery and accountability of the program.  You will apply highly experienced and advanced management principles, managing the Headquarters Maintenance Office, and assume leadership and responsibility for Maintenance Operations in the absence of the Director. The successful candidate will provide clear communication of program expectations, expenditures, and performance in order to demonstrate the effective delivery and stewardship of public resources.
