Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking to fill the Assistant State Local Programs Engineer position to manage and oversee the engineering and construction for all Local Agency federal aid projects being developed throughout the state by local agencies. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible to ensure that agency projects are developed, designed, and constructed within the State and Federal requirements. These requirements include ensuring engineering design standards, construction compliance, overseeing the Certification Acceptance program compliance with DBE regulation and goal setting/concurrence, engineering specifications, and overseeing compliance activities. The Assistant State Local Programs Engineer will also be responsible for the development, maintenance, and contents of the Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) Manual which details the policies, regulations, rules, laws, and procedures related to developing and administering Local Agency federal aid projects for the State of Washington.
