Our client is urgently seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join their team! The ideal Water Resources Engineer candidate for this position is a professional engineer (PE) or an engineering intern (EI) with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. The right candidate should possess strong technical skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. They should be adaptable, able to respond quickly and accurately under pressure, and able to switch tasks in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the Water Resources Engineer should be an independent thinker and open to ideas for alternate project delivery. Occasional fieldwork and travel will be required.

Qualifications for the Water Resources Engineer role include:

-Fundamental understanding of water resources concepts, including stormwater management, water quality and chemistry, hydraulics, fluid mechanics, hydrology, and permitting
-Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but candidates with an Engineer in Training (EIT) license will be considered
-Proficient in GIS and 1 or more of the following: EPA SWMM (preferred), ICPR, HEC-RES, or HSPF
-Strong technical skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
-Interpersonal skills, ability to interact with other water resource engineers including regulatory personnel
-Adaptable and able to respond quickly and accurately under pressure
-Able to switch tasks in a fast-paced environment
-Proficient in MS office
-Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
-Ability to pass an FBI background check

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

-Salary range of $80,000-$120,000, commensurate with experience
-Hourly pay option with paid overtime
-$440 per month towards insurance
-Flexible PTO
-IRA with a 3% match
-1-2 bonuses per year depending on profitability
