The
Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for creating innovative, high value solutions for a full range of deep foundation and allied applications. The ideal candidate will be a P.E. with experience designing deep foundation plans and solutions that add value for clients while directly supporting our business development process.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To help drive profitable, sustainable growth by being on-the-cutting-edge of value engineering innovation. To directly support the EAS staff through project-winning engineering for deep foundation projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Geotechnical Engineering support for new business growth in the greater Northeast
- Project support in deep foundation and allied applications
- Provide specifications and submittals as needed
- Respond to customer, sales and business development opportunities regarding application inquiries
- Research specification requirements/code compliance in various markets
- Assist in conducting on-site testing and/or demonstrations
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERINCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Engineering, preferably a Geotechnical, Structural, BSME or a BSIE-or equivalent experience. Structural Engineering with a strong experience Geotechnical Engineering also considered.
- Minimum 5-7 years prior experience in deep foundation design
- Licensed PE in one or more Northeastern States
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong understanding of deep foundations
- Ability to communicate technical requirements to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Flexibility with skills to react quickly to changing client needs
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude and mindset (we consider this a skill not just a trait)
- Training and/or experience in Structural Engineering is highly desired
- Preferred the Geotechnical Engineer live in the New Jersey area
