Our client has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time, direct-hire position based in Orlando, FL. As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, our client provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide in support of the US Department of Defense and its service missions! This firm is a premier trusted partner for planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services, and is committed to providing a positive and supportive work environment.

The ideal Mechanical Engineer candidate is experienced with VA healthcare/hospital projects with a minimum of 10 years of standard building construction design experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Candidates with an EIT license who are close to PE licensure will also be considered.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer position include:

-Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-Professional Engineer (PE) highly preferred, EIT licensed candidates will be considered
-At least 10 years of standard building construction design experience/mechanical engineering design (HVAC, BAS, Piping, sprinkler design) experience
-Previous experience working on US Government and military domestic and international or healthcare projects preferred
-Familiarity with military programming rules and documentation is desirable
-Strong knowledge of CAD/BIM software and drafting procedures
-Excellent prioritization and project development skills
-Must be willing to travel for occasional international assignments
-Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment
-Able to obtain a secret clearance

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

The salary for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 with a performance bonus of up to $10,000 commensurate with experience. Our client also offers medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and HAS benefits. Additionally, they offer a 401k plan at 3-5 percent, 11 federal holidays, 12-20 days of PTO, wellness offerings, training and development, license/certification support, recognition and rewards programs, and travel insurance.
