As part of our team, you will:

• Perform site systems surveys and engineering assessments for a wide range of facilities, varying from metro stations to data centers

• Contribute to development of solutions for minimal downtime electrical power distribution and lighting systems  in conjunction with architectural and engineering project design teams

• Perform scope of work analyses, design and construction document development based on national and agency-specific codes and standards, and engineering construction support services for building electrical systems including power generation, distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security and telecommunications systems

• Utilize software to perform electrical load calculations, short circuit studies, selective coordination, arc flash analysis, generator load calculations and lighting calculations

• Attend team and owner design kick-off and review meetings

• Some project management experience, tracking, scheduling, coordination, planning, working with others involved in project

An ideal candidate has:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Electrical Design

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

• PE registration a plus

• Experience with design and development of power distribution systems for medium and low voltage systems

• Experience in scope of work review and specifications development

• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 and 70B is REQUIRED

• Proficiency in electrical engineering designs utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT is REQUIRED; you will be asked to demonstrate proficiency with REVIT during the interview process.

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Flexibility to travel to facilities in the Washington, DC Metro Area and surrounding states (day travel)
