Ewi are currently work with a Renewables OEM looking for a Lead Civil Engineer.

Salary: $110k - $130k base salary D.O.E

Location: Oakbrook Terrance, IL - Open to Remote

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university or college
• Five (5) years industry related experience designing structural steel and foundations including design of buildings
• Licensed as a civil / structural Professional Engineer in the United States
• Fluent English writing and speaking
• Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time, including international, and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrates technical mastery with detailed knowledge of theoretical and practical applications in civil and structural engineering related to high voltage electrical substations (such as foundations, steel structures, drainage, underground services, bus & insulators, seismic, etc.) and FACTS
• Background experience with reviewing architectural and mechanical/electrical/plumbing for buildings
• Strong presence in front of the customer
• Knowledge of US electric utility customer design and construction standards & industry codes and standards in North America such as Pacific Gas and Electric and AEP
• Experience supporting technical tendering teams with innovative, cost efficient, designs and estimating.
• Site field experience and construction methods impacting civil and structural design
• Knowledge of seismic design considerations and standards
• In depth knowledge of structural design software such as STAAD or RISA 3D and foundation design software packages
