Incumbent should be an integral part of the Audio / Video systems team focused on project installation and maintaining existing systems. This position interfaces and works directly with various University staff and faculty members on technology support issues striving for cost effective and efficient solutions following campus standards and policies defined by the AV systems team. Should act as subject matter expert in all areas of Audio and Video solutions. Major responsibilities include providing level I&II support for all AV systems, performing all aspects of installation and service of audiovisual systems, implementing and adjusting equipment, performing routine maintenance and overseeing on-site contractors. Minor responsibilities include assisting Lead AV Systems Engineer administering system connections, editing control programming, reporting analytics, document deployments and operational processes to improve all aspects of AV solutions continually along with all other duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
10+ Years Audio Visual systems installation and commissioning experience
Experience with AV control systems such as (Crestron, AMX, FSR, Extron, Biamp, ClearOne, Zoom, Shure, Tricaster, Yamaha, QSC, Dante)
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication
Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, Visio, Scheduling and database programs
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, identify, scope, recommend AV solution improvements
Self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision
Working knowledge of Universities Infrastructures, Processes and Work Flows
Biamp TesiraForte Certification or equivalent
Cambridge Sound Certification
Crestron DMC-D-4K Certification or equivalent
Crestron CTI-Fusion-P Certification or equivalent
Dante Level I Certification
Dante Level II Certification
InfoComm CTS Certification
Valid drivers license with low risk driving record

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor’s degree
Avixa CTS Certification
Crestron DMC-E-4K Certification
Crestron CTI-P201 Certification
Crestron CTI-P301 Certification
Crestron Certified Programmer
Q-Sys Level I
CATV Distribution Equipment Experience
Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
