Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 (TE3) to serve as the CAE Resources Engineer in Tumwater, WA. In support of the HQ Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Development Lead and ProjectWise Administrator, the CAE Resource Engineer is the statewide subject matter expert and prime developer of CAE resources. This position develops, maintains, supports a comprehensive statewide software environment for civil engineering\Computer Aided Engineering (CAD) applications such as OpenRoads, MicroStation, Concept Station, and ProjectWise used by WSDOT, other governmental agencies, and consulting engineering firms to design and deliver all WSDOT projects. The top candidate will also help to create CAE related Training, standards, and workflows that ensure consistent agency project deliverables. The CAE Resource Engineer supports the agency mission by ensuring that drafting and design software and associated programs remain current, relevant, and adhere to industry standards.
