An engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Certified Building Official who specializes in transportation, water, environment, and energy.  Their mission is to build communities and improve lives. As a Certified Building Official, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all buildings and structures of your assigned jurisdiction(s) while maintaining superior relationships with your clients. You should have at least 3 years of managing and supervising individuals and 5 or more years of progressive experience in the construction, design, or inspection of buildings and structures. Requirements & Responsibilities for this Certified Building Official opportunity include:
 

• Manage assigned municipal projects and ensure compliance with building criteria
• Develop goals, objectives, and policies, and prioritize programs
• Coordinate enforcement and inspection methodologies
• Provide technical advice on building construction and attend professional meetings
• May assist in proposal preparation and client interviews
• ICC Certified Building Official certification, Residential Building Inspector, and Plans Examiner
• 5+ years experience in construction, design, or inspection of buildings with 3+ years in supervision
• AA or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in a related field with computer proficiency
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

Salary: $100,000 -  $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
