We are currently looking for a Project Engineer, in York, SC.
 
DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer will be responsible for working with all functions, sub-contractors and technology suppliers related to engineering activities within the Operations group focusing on safety, process optimization and new installations.  This position will primarily focus on developing and executing capital projects within a team environment.  Project management will include performing design calculations, site assessments, cost engineering, construction management, training, and validation testing.  Projects will have positive impacts on reliability, operability, safety and productivity in a chemical manufacturing process ranging in size from small continuous improvement suggestions to large capital expenditures.  Ideal candidates will have experience in several areas of plant operations including piping, electrical systems, automation, and facility management.
 
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of work experience in project engineering.
• Analytical skills and experience with analysis tools and software a plus.
• Demonstrates awareness of problem-solving methodology / skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices, continuous improvement, equipment optimization, and efficiency measurement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work in a team environment and to be effective within a matrix organization.
• Self-motivation and independence to work directly with Operations personnel and all levels within the organization.
• Ability to work in a safe manner within a manufacturing environment.  Knowledge of process safety systems a plus.
