Our client, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in California, is seeking a Water / Wastewater Engineer to join their team. This company specializes in water and power resource planning, wastewater regulations and engineering, water quality, and regulatory compliance and is comprised of a talented team of scientists and engineers. The ideal Water / Wastewater Engineer candidate for this company is a highly educated and experienced engineer or scientist with expertise in the water, wastewater, and environmental industry.

As a Water / Wastewater Engineer, you will have the opportunity to advance your career and be part of a dynamic team. With a focus on wastewater studies, water quality modeling, and NPDES permit and WDR compliance, the ideal candidate should have 3-10 years of experience and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering. Requirements & Responsibilities for this Water / Wastewater Engineer position include:

* 3-10 years experience in environmental/civil engineering with focus on wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, and hydrology
* Master's degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering
* Professional Civil Engineer, California certification
* Strong computer skills, including experience with Surfer, AutoCAD, CORMIX, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, and ArcGIS
* Knowledge of NPDES Permit and WDR Compliance, Renewals, and Negotiations
* Perform wastewater studies and facility evaluations, conduct water quality modeling and special studies
* Manage NPDES and WDR permitting, develop and implement mixing zone validation studies
* Provide engineering operational support, retention basin evaluations
* Lead consultant for WDR compliance and renewals, prepare stormwater management plans
* Review NPDES permit compliance monitoring reports, perform post-construction stormwater plan preparation

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
