Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of Statics, Mechanics of Materials and Structures Analysis
• Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk AutoCAD software
• Professional Engineer license REQUIRED
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and technical communication skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Enercalc Engineering Software, RAM Steel Analysis Software, and RAM Elements Finite Elements Modeling

Responsibilities:
 

• Inspecting project sites and evaluating contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.
• Coordinating and directing projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals, and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Preparing project status reports and working to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
• Communicating directly with contractors and designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
• Providing technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to other project members and contractors.
• Developing construction documents that include structural framing plans, foundation and superstructure detailing, notes, specifications, and typical construction details.
• Developing gravity and lateral design loads using commercial and residential building codes (IBC 2015 & ASCE 7-10).
• Designing and detailing of building structures utilizing wood, steel, concrete, and masonry construction materials.
• Developing structural analysis models (2D & 3D) utilizing RAM Steel and RAM Elements analysis software.
• Drafting of plans and details for building structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, and engineering calculations.
• Performing other engineering-related duties

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

Salary: $70,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
