Job Description:

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Region Environmental & Hydraulic Manager to provide leadership to the Olympic Region Environmental & Hydraulic Services (EHS) Office. The Environmental & Hydraulic Manager develops and establishes the long-term vision of the Olympic Region’s Environmental programs and is responsible for balancing the complex and competing needs and priorities of the Region’s transportation impacts on the State’s cultural and natural resources having significant influence on other organizations, programs, and citizens. They are responsible for managing the EHS Office and oversee all work units and support staff consisting of specialized professional staff. The position directs and facilitates all regional environmental processes and activities, participates in collaborative statewide environmental policy development as part of the Statewide Environmental Program Managers, as well as ensures that statewide environmental policies are implemented within Olympic Region. This position works effectively and collaboratively with various federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, tribal governments, stakeholders, and the public to resolve complex environmental issues.
