Job Description:
Due to continued growth, 2JCP are looking to expand their project execution and aftersales support teams. Primarily supporting the gas turbine acoustic and filtration sector, the successful candidate will have experience of gas turbines, project and supply chain management, and aftersales support.
1.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Reporting to the managing Director, provide regional support to our US clients and supply chain, both pre and after sale.
Oversea the delivery and installation of our equipment for North and South American projects.
Take a progressive approach to problem solving and implementation of solutions.
Develop the supply chain, build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
Manage external manufacturing in North and South America, expediting and reporting back to the project team.
Perform manufacturing inspections at various stages, reporting back to the internal and external quality teams.
Liaise directly with our clients on quality and production matters.
Take a professional and progressive approach to supporting the business’ production engineering needs. This will include regular interaction with both internal and external customers, and suppliers.
Act as our local aftersales representative to support continuous operation of our equipment.
Ensure that internal and external deadlines are met at all times. On time delivery and customer satisfaction form the ethos of our business.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Complete site surveys and condition assessments, assist with the production of technical reports and recommendations as appropriate
Provide local support to the US Sales Director for new opportunities, visiting customers as appropriate
Oversea the delivery of our equipment to site, inspecting equipment on arrival, identifying any shortages or transit damage prior to installation
Arrange for the repair or replacement of any damaged equipment, utilizing the local supply chain
Oversea the installation of equipment, either by our own team or third-party installer
Liaise with our client for the duration of the installation phase, reporting back to the UK, US and Czech teams as appropriate
Provide technical support to the install team, working alongside our internal engineering team
Assist with the production of contractual documentation
Supervise the manufacturing process and provide guidance on best manufacturing techniques, as appropriate.
Expedite the manufacturing phase and produce progress reports for internal and external customers
Undertake internal and external supplier audits
Review and interpret customer quality requirements provided in the form of specifications, drawings or international standards
Ensure workmanship and quality levels meet the requirements of the project. This will vary between products, customers and sectors
Constantly monitor the manufacturing process and provide feedback to the wider teams on how to reduce cost and lead time
Support the purchasing process by creating enquiry documents
Ensure that products are manufactured / purchased to budget whilst meeting customer requirements
Provide quality and manufacturing support to both internal and external customers on an ad-hoc basis
Develop best practices within the production team, constantly striving for continuous improvement
Keep up to date with latest practices, industry standards and available design technology

SECONDARY DUTIES
Support the project management, engineering, quality and supply chain teams as required to ensure the business meets its customers’ needs on a daily basis. From time to time this may take precedence over primary duties
Be involved in a broad range of business development activities
Perform any reasonable task asked of you by the management team
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
Knowledge of the US market and working practices
Experience of working in a quality / manufacturing team
Experience of fabricated systems / large manufactured products
Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Experience of working in a supervisory role
Desirable
Experience of inspecting
Experience of expediting
Experience of report writing
Experience of Acoustic and Filtration systems for Gas Turbines

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Engineering / Manufacturing / Quality Control Qualification to Associate Degree level or equivalent
Desirable
Engineering / Manufacturing / Quality Control Degree, preferably Bachelor's
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work out of hours, when required to support customer needs
Full US driving licence
Able to travel within the USA and overseas, sometimes frequently
Current US resident
