We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Utility Operations Group. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or ten years of experience in commercial or industrial mechanical piping and boiler/chiller related systems.

This position is a great opportunity for someone with a background in operations and experience with chillers, steam plants, piping systems, and substation operations. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and several years of experience, but relevant experience may be substituted for education. We are looking for someone who can fill the role of a mechanical technical resource and provide technical oversight for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility mechanical systems.
 

Responsibilities:

* Serve as mechanical technical resource, providing technical oversight to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient operation
* Oversee operation and maintenance of utility mechanical systems (boiler plants, chiller plants, heat recovery chillers, piping distribution systems, etc.)
* Assist in developing and implementing energy reduction initiatives and mechanical utility system replacements
* Provide assistance and technical direction to Power Plant and Utility Zone Managers in case of afterhours utility system emergencies
* Serve as back-up role to the Director of Utility Operations
* Inspect equipment, and work in hot/cold environments
* Use personal computers, telephones, and other office equipment

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
