This position is located at The Advanced Technology and Training Center (ATTC) – Middle Georgia, in Warner Robins, Georgia. It provides engineering support for aircraft and support equipment sustainment technology development and transition including aircraft, aircraft maintenance and ground support equipment. This role will:
- Support design, re-engineering and test/validation of hardware for additive manufacturing
engineering technologies
- Develop and execute project plans, plan and manage qualification testing
- Participate in training and community outreach events

Minimum Qualifications
1. BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering.
2. 3+ years of engineering/technical product design, hardware ownership or manufacturing/ machining operations experience with working knowledge of GD&T standards.
3. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software and 2D drawing creation SolidWorks preferred.
4. Ability to create, read and interpret models, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
4. 3+ years of experience in process documentation and process development
5. Understanding of advanced manufacturing materials, processes and parameters; familiar with various manufacturing processes such as casting, NC machining, forging, heat treat and additive manufacturing for metals and/or plastics.
6. Experience in data collection, analysis, and problem-solving.
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
8. Successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
9. Working knowledge in Excel and other MS Office Suite programs
10. Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required.
11. Working knowledge of US Air Force aircraft maintenance, sustainment, and acquisition policies and procedures.
12. Practical experience with additive manufacturing techniques including fused deposition modelling and direct metal laser melting technologies.
13. Practical experience with operating Creaform HandyScan Black Elite handheld laser scanner.
14. Practical experience with JobBOSS ERP software.

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Master’s or higher degree in technical field
2. 4+ years engineering/technical project management experience
3. 4+ years aircraft maintenance or corrosion management experience
4. 3+ years of directly related applied manufacturing engineering experience
