We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated candidate who will accept the challenges associated with drought in California. Under the direction of the Senior Engineer, Water Resources, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of State, local and federal agencies, technical consultants, and interested parties. Meetings will be conducted using Microsoft Teams and in-person, there will be opportunities to telework, with the North Central Region Office Telework Guidelines.
 

You will be expected to provide expertise and technical guidance in all facets of grants management for the Department Drought Programs. Assist in conducting outreach and support for the Small Communities Drought Relief Program, conducting drought preparedness workshops across California, targeting small communities, rural areas, and underserved systems.
