Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Design-Build Site Manager to assist the Project Engineer and assume limited authority of the Project Engineer when absent, to provide leadership, management, and oversight to a field office responsible for the delivery of transportation construction projects. The projects are expected to be on schedule, within budget, and have appropriate quality program measures to ensure they are constructed in accordance with contract requirements and are maintainable. This position monitors and reports on delivery in conformance with the department’s expectations for transparency and accountability. This position ensures, through effective management controls and adherence to WSDOT policies, that construction contracts are administered to the expected quality, safety, and stewardship standards. This position provides staff a balanced workplace, which promotes training, and development for professional growth and upward mobility, employee safety, workforce diversity, and pride in ownership. The Design-Build Site Manager serves as a local WSDOT representative to legislators, local agencies, Industry, and the public.
