Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Headquarters' Survey and Mapping Office, located in Tumwater, WA, is seeking an experienced individual to fill the vacancy of Geodetic Engineer – Transportation Engineer 4. The HQ Survey and Mapping Office is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Primary Reference Network that provides the up-to-date statewide datum reference for WSDOT project delivery, establishing geodetic survey control, bathymetric, photogrammetric and Terrestrial Lidar survey as built mapping technology and structural monitoring for WSDOT project delivery. The HQ Geodetic Engineer is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor that manages the Survey and Mapping Program, WSDOT Primary Reference Network, Geodetic\LiDAR Surveying, and mapping by directing and coordinating projects. These systems provide the geographic framework for statewide datum reference to support statewide WSDOT project delivery. This position directly supports the HQ Survey and Mapping Manager in the management of the HQ Survey and Mapping Office.
