Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced engineering professional who has exceptional leadership skills to serve as the Project Development Engineering Manager in Spokane, WA. This position will utilize advance management principles and professional expertise to manage and integrate the work of multiple organizational unit managers. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are developed, advertised, and administered to meet Federal and State laws, legislative commitments, and engineering principles for on time and on budget delivery of I & P Programs.

In addition, responsibilities include development of construction projects in and around the second largest City (Spokane) in the State of Washington including highways, interchanges and retaining walls in Spokane and on various routes around the region. This position will work strategically with the Assistant Regional Administrator for Development to accomplish the WSDOT mission and achieve the Department’s two-year biennial plans, the six-year Transportation Improvement Plan, and ultimately the 20-year transportation plan in the Eastern Region (ER). The ER encompasses Spokane, Pend Oreille, Whitman, Ferry, Stevens, Lincoln, and Adams Counties and a portion of Franklin County and includes over 3600 lane miles of highways, including over 440 bridge structures, and 10 safety rest areas.
