What you’ll get to do
- Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.
- Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, Vernier, and fixed gauges.
- Recognize the functions of the specific Controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.
- Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.
- Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines
What you bring!!
- A completed apprenticeship program and certification in the trade by the Province of Ontario or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of Lemoine & Mastercam is an asset.
- Proven ability to work well within a team-based work environment, prioritizing plans of action to accomplish objectives.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprint.
- Experience:
· experience working with 3-axis machines
· experience programming and running the machines
· basic programming knowledge of G-code (willing to train the right person)

- $28-32/hour (depending on experience)
- Shift: Steady Nights, 4 - 10 hour shifts, Friday is OT at 5-7 hours (must be willing to work OT)
