Who we are looking for:

F&R is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who will apply advanced engineering techniques and professional
judgement to provide geotechnical services and support. Responsibilities include overseeing other engineers and drill
crews to deliver results that ensure the goal of exceeding clients’ expectations on every project. May include performing
engineering analysis and calculations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the preparation and review
of reports for services provided.

 

What you will be doing:

Including, but not limited to:

  •  Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to provide                 quality engineering services
  • Plans and coordinates field exploration programs including site reconnaissance
  • Performs soil and rock classification
  • Plans and coordinates geotechnical laboratory testing programs
  • Performs geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations and computer modeling
  • Develops geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering project work scopes, schedules, budgets and proposals
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables
  • Oversees, mentors and provides guidance for staff that may include other engineers, geologists, and drill crews to             ensure our goal of exceeding our clients’ expectations on every project
  • Authorizes and/or reviews technical reports and letters
  • Ensures project reports are completed and submitted timely
  • Ensures accuracy for all items related to billing for projects
  • Maintains excellent client relations by responding promptly, etc.
  • Provides input relative to needs of client to Project Manager
  • May assist with marketing and business development activities
  • Other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Geological, or a related field
  • Typically 7+ years of experience
  • P.E. license required
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution and follow-up
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written
  • Ability to successfully manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, and within a team environment to achieve goals
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening  and driving record
