Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
The successful candidate will demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, tactful interaction with all levels of staff and public, good judgment, self-motivation, quality customer service, and excellent attention to detail, have the ability to work independently, yet also to be a productive team member, have the ability to multi-task, and willingness to be flexible with assigned priorities based on operational needs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, GIS software, and effective presentation skills. Ability to draft reports and memos, prepare preliminary analysis, design, and maps using HEC-RAS, CAD, and GIS software, and knowledge of surveying, hydrology, and hydraulics.
