Job: Controls Design Engineer
Job Description: PTS Automation’s Controls Engineer contributes to its mission of instilling confidence through exceptional automation solutions by providing expert-level integration services that advance our customers’ automated processes. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for working with members of PTSA’s sales, manufacturing, and engineering teams, to provide our customers with unique, customized automated solutions to fit their manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities: PTSA’s Controls Engineer has the following responsibilities and duties:

• Creates, modifies, and maintains electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical for UL508 Panel Shop
• Support UL508A Panel Shop Wireman with component and configuration directions throughout panel build process

• PI&D and pneumatic drawings
• Provide administrative and documentation support to the Engineering group
• Updates and maintains bill of material documentation
• Works closely with Application Engineering and Controls Engineering groups for the drafting of electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Collaborate with PTSA panel shop wiremen and field installation technicians during project build phases
• Coordinate, implement, and track engineering change orders
• Develop and improve drawing revision tracking and drawing file management procedures
• Maintains and improves AutoCAD shared libraries
• Travel is minimal for this position

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology  or  2 year related technical degree.
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office
• Ability to develop growth within self, and team
• Problem Solving Skills

• 40+ Hours/Week
