Salesforce Inc. seeks Support Engineer in Hillsboro, OR:

Job Duties: Serve as the first point of contact for customers experiencing deliverability challenges. Assist customers in maximizing their email deliverability. Troubleshoot reasons for delays in sending and receiving emails, discuss DNS configurations, and discuss deliverability best practices. Develop and maintain technical expertise in assigned areas of product functionality. Demonstrate exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise. Provide feature explanation and deliverability best practices. Manage customer expectations and the customer experience to maximize customer satisfaction. Actively maintain and participate in job-related training activities. Demonstrate the ability to research, document, and prioritize customer issues, leverage internal tools and escalation teams as necessary, as well as prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Multitask and perform effectively under pressure. Create and curate knowledge content. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) MySQL; (2) C++; (3) Java; (4) JavaScript; (5) SAP Materials Management; (6) IBM Sterling Connect; (7) XML Standards; (8) Inbound/Outbound Maps; (9) FTP; and (10) HTTP Adapters. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
