This position will support a broad array of automation and robotics projects supporting Air Force sustainment activities. The position requires a deep understanding of project management and engineering principles, processes and practices. The successful candidate will provide project management support as a technical subject matter expert on technical engineering, project integration and planning, scope definition, scheduling, costs, quality management, project resources, communication, risk management, and stakeholder management. This position will serve as a support role for the team’s senior program manager.


Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in robotics, automation, computer science or closely related major.
2. At least 6 years’ experience as a robotics engineer in a technical or industrial field.
3. At least 4 years’ experience as a manufacturing or design engineer supporting a technical or industrial field.
4. Familiarity with FANUC or Yaskawa Motoman robots.
5. Familiarity with simulation software such as MotoSIM EG VRC Simulation, Solid Edge or AutoCAD.
6. Strong problem solving skills applying Lean Six Sigma principles.
7. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
7. Valid drivers license with low risk driving record.
8. US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

1. Master’s of Science Degree in engineering or related field.
2. Knowledge of Air Force sustainment processes and practices.
3. Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage various project activities ensuring accurate task completion.
4. Excellent people skills.
5. Self-Motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
6. Certification as a Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional.
7. Certified in LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt or better.
8. Keen attention to detail.
9. Demonstrated experience working with customers at various levels.
10. Demonstrated ability to interpret financial/cost, schedule, performance, and risk data.
11. Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
12. Experience working with socially and culturally diverse communities
