Position OverviewThis position manages and performs a variety of advanced professional engineering assignments in roadway safety and operations evaluations requiring advanced expertise in a specialized area of engineering. The incumbent acts as a resource to engineers and technicians on complex projects and issues related to transportation and traffic issues. The incumbent coordinates with other county departments, other agencies, private project developers, consultants, and the public as needed. Reviews and makes recommendations and/or comments on engineering studies and reports in support of Public Works goals and objectives.Required Education and Experience- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and six years of engineering experience to include two years of supervisory/management experience; OR
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) and two years of supervisory/management experience.
