Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented Netwrok Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Network Engineer candidate will join a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team contributing to a wide variety of projects within the Missile Defense domain. This role includes being the primary provider for network support for system design, implementation, and testing, while also interacting with multiple functional groups (mechanical, electrical, etc.). A successful candidate will also be able to contribute to other areas such as software testing, setting up Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) labs, and / or software development.

The ideal candidate has experience with:

• Cisco hardware / software
• Complex system networks utilizing Docker or Virtual Machines
• Configuring firewalls within a DISA STIG environment
• Configuring and installing information systems such as routers, servers, switches, and storage systems
• Firm understanding in ethernet and IP networking
• Background in network security as defined by DISA STIGs

• SA Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 10 or more years of experience in a highly technical role
• Possess a strong competency in network design and implementation
• Be a resident or willing to relocate to the North Alabama area

Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge with:

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles with favor shown to those possessing an IAT Security Certification (e.g., Security +, CASP, CISSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, CISA, etc.)
• Knowledge of programming languages (C/C++, C#, Java, Python, SQL)
• Experience in Software Development or Software Test
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary environments such as the integration of firmware, hardware, and software
