Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking an entry-level Aerospace Engineer to join our diverse team creating unique solutions for complex flight vehicle engineering challenges.

We’ve been tasked to develop and maintain detailed models and simulations for a variety of missile weapon systems to support the analysis of performance. Typical simulation frameworks used for missile flight dynamics modeling include MATLAB/Simulink, C++ and Python.

You will quickly progress through the model development process and use high-fidelity simulations and similar modeling tools to characterize the missile systems. Comprehensive weapon system models are critical in generating accurate assessments and will be used to inform Department of Defense policy makers, acquisition programs and warfighter consumers.

You will work closely with a highly technical team of multi-disciplinary engineers to provide accurate & timely analysis of flight vehicle systems' performance & capabilities, assist in evaluation of system designs, and use all available data to verify/validate weapon system performance models.

Basic Qualifications

If you possess a bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school with 0-3 years of experience and a minimum GPA of 3.2. APPLY

You should have a fundamental understanding of vehicle flight dynamics and controls, mechanics, aerodynamics, and propulsion, coupled with a solid base of programming experience.

Possess solid technical communication skills and an ability to work in both collaborative team environments and independently.

Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to work on-site at the Huntsville, AL office.

Other Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required. Special consideration is made for applicable experience in lieu of advanced degrees.

Proficiency in flight dynamics modeling using MATLAB/Simulink, C++ and Python is desirable.

Security Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
