Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a multi-discipline engineering team developing software for aviation systems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Our Missile and Aviation Systems Division is looking for an innovated Software Engineer for development of software applications and tools for manned aircraft, unmanned systems, and weapons systems: architectural and interface design, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), user presentation design, implementation, unit testing, code reviews.

The position involves open, direct communication with customers, stakeholders, and team members to refine software component requirements and designs. This opportunity will allow direct contribution to the User Experience (UX), software quality, graphics design, aesthetic design, iteration plans, release plans, and on-schedule implementation. You will develop Aviation software using a variety languages and development tools and leverages the Agile Scrum framework within a tailored CMMI-based software process.

Basic Qualifications
If you possess a bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. APPLY!

If you have at least 3 years of prior relevant experience in software engineering. APPLY!

Can you demonstrate mastery in the fundamentals of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and object-oriented programming? If so, APPLY!

Can you demonstrate strong competency in software development in the C#, WPF, Java, Python, Objective-C, or Ruby programming language? If so, APPLY!

Other Qualifications
Experience with the following is desired:

• Direct experience with creating low to high fidelity software prototypes using Adobe XD or equivalent prototyping software.
• Solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD) to be used in creative brainstorming sessions with project teams. Participate in planning and conduct of user research, user testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and usability & accessibility concerns.
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
• Work with developers to ensure the designs are implemented as intended and that the integrity of the user experience is maintained in the final product.
