IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team!  Our Denver office, winner of the 2021 National Grand Conceptor Award from ACEC, is seeking a highly qualified electrical or architectural engineer to lead the technical building systems design for electrical power and lighting across multiple projects.  This individual will act as the primary liaison for electrical engineering consulting between IMEG and the client with the responsibility of engineering technical correctness for the work they and those assigned to them complete.  

 

This position offers a highly flexible working schedule including opportunities to work from home two or more days a week depending on location.  Fully remote positions, working outside the Denver Metro area, will be considered.
 

Some key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Act as Lead Engineer on projects and is able to perform complete electrical systems design (for a discipline) according to code;

  • Specify equipment based on project needs and available technologies; research resources for commercially available equipment;

  • Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work; review all files to determine scope and personnel involved;

  • Maintain good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files;

  • Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers;

  • Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress as related to fee expended;

  • Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check;

  • Prepare and issue addendum information;

  • Recognize potential project problems quickly and seek advice from the Project Manager;

  • Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Project Manager;

  • Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement;

  • Mentor designers and /or technicians;

 

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:

  • Competency of the technical aspects of one’s discipline;

  • A demonstrated aptitude for managing projects;

  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM;

  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

 

Education and experience requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;

  • A minimum of six years of qualifying experience;

  • Professional Engineering license.

 

Salary range $92,000-$105,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including: experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This information is being provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
