IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team!  We are currently seeking a Traffic Engineer in our Naperville IL office.  As a Traffic Engineer you will be responsible for the strategic implementation of team initiatives that center around technical expertise and quality.  While the main focus is not on clients, the person fulfilling this position has great influence on our delivered product and the reputation that is formed in our client’s eyes with respect to our quality, innovation, and technical expertise.

 

Some key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance to team members of their discipline to meet the technical engineering needs for projects;
  • Serves as a technical resource for resolving field issues on projects, must be able to visit project sites and resolve technical issues with very little assistance from other senior staff;
  • Participate in promotional activities that establish IMEG as a technical expert, including items such as speaking at conferences, participation on national technical boards, writing articles and whitepapers;
  • Makes major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff;
  • Plans design work by discipline for all project sizes and assigns duties to staff working on projects;
  • Reviews correspondence prepared by junior staff;
  • Actively leads in quality control process for team projects;
  • Contributes to leadership in some aspect of our Technical Operations Team for both large and small projects;
  • Acts as an advisor and analyzes technical problems/writes reports;
  • Plays a significant role in project reviews for quality control for large complex projects;

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:

  • Expert level mastery of the technical aspects of one’s discipline;
  • Demonstrated aptitude to design/manage major projects;
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and lead others;
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise;
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

 

Education and experience requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Professional Engineer license;
  • Minimum five years of experience.
