IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! Our Denver, CO office , winner of the 2021 National Grand Conceptor Award from ACEC, is seeking a highly qualified electrical or architectural engineer to assist with large projects and lead small/medium sized projects on the technical building systems design for electrical power and lighting.  This individual will assist with the electrical engineering consulting between IMEG and the client with the responsibility of engineering technical correctness for the work they and those assigned to them complete.  

 

This position offers a highly flexible working schedule including opportunities to work from home two or more days a week depending on location.  Fully remote positions, working outside the Denver Metro area, will be considered.
 

Some key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Design portions of a project related to electrical systems according to code and IMEG standards;

  • Research resources for commercially available equipment;

  • Provide good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files;

  • Coordinate designs and schedules with key stakeholders;

  • Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress;

  • Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check;

  • Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information;

  • Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Lead Engineer;

  • Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.

 

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings;

  • Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics;

  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM;

  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

 

Education and experience requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;

  • Professional Engineer license;

  • Successful completion of the IMEG new engineer mentoring program, or a minimum of three years of qualifying experience.

 

Salary range $70,000-$89,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including: experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. This information is being provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
