Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge and Structures Office provides a full range of structural engineering services required to provide safe, economical, and reliable structures for Washington's transportation system, currently comprising approximately 3,100 existing vehicular bridges. The WSDOT Bridge and Structures Office is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer 5 Senior Structural Designer in Tumwater, WA. This position provides design and construction support for complex and significant transportation structures. In addition, the person in this role will also provide mentoring for a Structural Design unit and will serve as the project manager for multiple structural design projects. This senior structural design position provides technical expertise to support construction and preservation of transportation structures. Transportation structures include bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, sign and illumination support structures, traffic barrier systems, and other structural elements contained in the WSDOT system.
