P E Systems, Inc. has a new opportunity for a Sr.  Special Projects Systems Engineer at WPAFB, OH.  The ideal candidate will support the Special Projects (SOCOM) Branch for the Medium Altitude UAS (MAUAS) Division, providing system engineering support in the design, planning, and execution of quick reaction capability upgrades for the MQ-9 Reaper and Long Endurance Aircraft (LEA).

GENERAL FUNCTION: 

• Provide advisory support by assessing the performance of aeronautical systems, subsystems and equipment.   
• Provide advisory and draft documentation support to the Government for the definition of requirements, analyses of alternatives, program technical and management reviews, test readiness reviews, test events and post-test reviews. 
• Provide advisory and draft documentation support to the Government for development of technical/engineering input for efforts to include, and is not limited to, requirements definition, test documentation, SOW development, production specifications, interface documentation and Government furnished equipment. 
• Participate in design reviews and TIMs. 
• Provide advisory assistance in support of the management and execution of resolution of identified deficiencies with operational systems. 
• Provide advisory and draft documentation assistance for the development of briefings and reports required to update program leadership on progress.

WORKING CONDITIONS

•   Work is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

• Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) in an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s)  and twelve years of relevant experience, five years of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s), and fifteen years of relevant experience, five of which must be in the DoD  OR, twenty years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD.
• Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. 

Physical Skills And Abilities:

• May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
