Job Description:

P E Systems, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Test Engineer at WPAFB, OH. The ideal candidate will candidate will support the Medium Altitude UAS Program Office (MQ-9 Reaper) in providing test interface support between the program office, test centers and the OEM, as required, to facilitate uninterrupted test activity of aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities. 

GENERAL FUNCTION: 

  • Assist the Government in providing test interface support between the PO, developmental and operational test organizations, test centers and, as required, facilitate uninterrupted test activity of aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities. 

  • Assist the Government in supporting the establishment of an Integrated Test Team (ITT) that will be responsible for developing the Test & Evaluation (T&E) strategy and guiding the development of integrated test plans. 

  • Assist the Government in preparing and coordinating ITT Charters, Test Concepts, LDTO designation letters, Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) as required. 

  • Assist the Government in providing test representation to AFMC, ACC, AFOTEC, HQ AF/TE, SAF/AT&L, and Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E). . 

  • Provide advisory support and participate in Test Plan Working Groups (TPWG), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) for both hardware and software systems. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) in an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s)  and twelve years of relevant experience, five years of which must be in the DoD 
  • ORBA/BS degree, an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s), and fifteen years of relevant experience, five of which must be in the DoD 
  • OR, twenty years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD. 
  • Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat) and applications for access to the World Wide Web including Microsoft Internet Explorer. 
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required.  If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

 Physical Skills And Abilities:

  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
