We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team. Ideally with a minimum of 3 year's experience and knowledge of the industry needs.

Job Duties

*  Carry- out Fabrication task works.

*  Ensure that all jobs/ welding requirements are completed according to fabrication       blueprints, drawings, and plans/specification using appropriate welding processes, including the positioning, alignment, and fitting of parts.

*  Ensure the grinding, sanding, polishing and detailing is carried out to a high standard.

* Uphold the safe operation of manual machine tools, as part of the fabrication process.

*  Assess welded surface, structures and components to identify any errors/ flaws.

* Ensure that machines are kept tidy and well-maintained, carrying out any essential or preventative/ routine maintenance and report any damanges to Managing Director.

* Specify and purchase specialist materials, reviewing/ approved associated test certification.

* Share industry knowledge amongst the team and train apprentices.

Required Skills

Essential:

* Experience of installing steelwork on site.
* Flexibility to work on your own or as part of a team
* A 'can do attitude'
* Experience of MIG and MAA welding
* Experience in CE procedures


Desirable

* Experience of reading complex engineering drawings for structural steelwork.
* Achieved city & guilds diploma in engineering welding and fabrication or equivalent. qualification. Or willing to gain.
* Experience in working to exceptionally high standards.
* Experience in problem- solving.
*  A full UK driving licence.
*Experience in CE procedures.
*CSCS Card
* Forklift truck certificate.
*IPAF card.

Job Details

Based on a zero contract hours
Company pension after sucessful probation period
Preferred 3 years experience.
